We are a bit behind in posting this, but we wanted to make sure that everyone heard the news that Hightide Hotel is winding down.  They are working on a final record, after which they will call it quits.  They released this statement via their Facebook:

We’re just about to start recording our farewell record, after which, Hightide Hotel will be closing its doors.

It’s been an amazing four years, and we’ve met and befriended some incredible people; it’s been an experience we won’t soon forget, and we can’t thank you all enough. More details to come.

In the meantime, hope you’re all ready for some jammers, because we all feel this new record is our best material yet, so stay tuned.

We feel this is an appropriate time to announce that before the last album hits, we are releasing a new split 7-inch record featuring Hightide Hotel, along with Dikembe, Monument, and Jet Set Sail.  For those of you keeping track, this is CYLS 4-Way split #3.  We are all sold out of Hightide’s LP, but if you need to sate your love for the band, visit  our friends over at Kat Kat Records and pick up the Porch Luck EP for the first time on vinyl.  We saw some pictures online, and they look really cool.

Hightide Hotel is/was a great band, and they will be sorely missed.

On to a bit of good news- Matt from Ape Up! has safely made it back home to the states.  Ape Up! will be having a benefit show for him in the future, and we will keep you posted as to when this is and how you can help.

For those of you asking about your Joie and Dowsing LP’s, we are still waiting on them, but we don’t expect it to be overly long before they come in now.  Joie is still in Europe, and Football, etc. will soon be winging their way out to join them in the UK.  Check out the dates here.
